As part of our continued growth and success an exciting opportunity has arisen within our busy Rydon Homes team for a Design Assistant. Rydon Homes (based out of our Forest Row, East Sussex head office) is our specialist development company and has a long history of designing and building high specification homes particularly in the South-East of England. This is an exciting opportunity to assist our experienced teams through the design development process. This role will ideally suit a recent architectural graduate (or a candidate studying towards an architectural qualification) looking to further develop their career.
With full training provided you will work as an integral part of our Design and Planning team in optimising land development opportunities and converting these into quality places where people choose to live. This includes the working up of layouts, house design drawings and preparation of Design and Access Statements (DAS) to support applications. This will invole communicating with external consultants who support the application design process and prepare technical reports. Together, with the preparation of presentation material to Parish Councils and other Stakeholder organisations for public exhibitions and pre application meetings, resulting in the compilation of packages for submission of residential development application proposals to Local Planning Authorities.
