Communications Support Oficer East Midlands Reserve Forces and Cadets Association – Nottingham.


A vacancy has arisen for a Communications Support Officer in the Association Headquarters. This post is based in Nottingham and the successful candidate will be expected to reside within daily travelling distance. This is a Crown Servant Grade E1 post.

This is a permanent position and the successful candidate will be required to work a 37 hour week.

The Post Holder provides support to the Head of Communications and will be expected to support PR, recruiting, community engagement, social media activities and perform website maintenance duties.

The successful candidate will have previous communications and website maintenance experience, be conversant in and have experience of content management systems (CMS). Highly effective, self motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and well organised with the ability to identify and prioritise workloads. A detailed knowledge of the armed forces and cadets is not required and can be gained in the appointment. The successful candidate will also be required to possess a current driving licence and their own transport.

The salary for the appointment is £19,109 per annum. Those who are eligible to join the pension scheme will also receive a non-pensionable enhancement to offset super-annuation contributions.

The appointment is for a probationary period of six months in the first instance.
