A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an up and coming PR & Communications Executive to join a distribution and wholesaling company with a product portfolio that now spans the Automotive, Travel & Leisure, Maintenance & Accessories and Retail sectors.
Working as part of a fast paced communications team you will play a key role in managing all consumer PR and social media activity in order to drive audience awareness and engagement. You must be an expert in generating press coverage, with strong writing skills, a great eye for a story and an ability to work closely with stakeholders and the external consumer agency to maximise coverage and audience engagement.
A core part of your role will be to work closely with the wider brand teams to ensure you’re up to date with the latest consumer trends and that PR and social media activity is aligned to the wider integrated brand activity. So you’ll need to quickly develop a good understanding of the company’s brand portfolio and will have a good understanding of all core media channels; regional and national, consumer, specialist and social media.
As one of the key contacts for their busy press office, you will be a confident communicator and have excellent media handling skills; taking calls, drafting responses, and seeking approval as well as providing support for stakeholders across the business. As you’d expect, you’ll constantly be evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns in order to spot new opportunities to generate engagement, whilst also working closely with the Social Media Executive to ensure the same is done across all social media channels.
